myBuddy continuously observes its environment through vision models — recognising people, objects, situations, and potential hazards. It knows where your glasses were left, notices if someone has been still for too long, and understands the difference between a child playing and a fall.
Reason
Natural-language conversation backed by contextual, long-term memory. myBuddy remembers your routines, your preferences, and what you told it last Tuesday — so every conversation builds on the last rather than starting from scratch.
Act
From sending a message and adjusting the thermostat to fetching a water bottle (myBuddy v2) — myBuddy closes the loop between observation and outcome. Physical manipulation via robotic arms is powered by Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models and is in active R&D for v2.
Under the hood: ROS 2 + Nav2 handle autonomous navigation and obstacle avoidance — for the technically curious.

📱 Your Smartphone
For v1 owners, your existing phone is the AI brain. All processing stays on your device — nothing leaves without your explicit opt-in. Best for: privacy-first users who already own a capable Android or iOS device.
⚡ Onboard NVIDIA Jetson
An embedded Jetson Orin Nano (or AGX Orin for maximum power on v2) handles vision, reasoning, and conversation entirely onboard — no phone required, no cloud dependency. Best for: users who want maximum autonomy and offline capability.
☁️ myDay Cloud
Heavy reasoning and the richest conversational memory can be offloaded to myDay Cloud — always opt-in, never mandatory (except on Server-only tiers where no onboard GPU is present). Best for: users who want the most capable AI at the lowest hardware cost.

Phone + Jetson, Phone + Cloud, or Jetson + Cloud — split workloads intelligently: fast local sensing, heavy reasoning in the cloud or on the Jetson. Best for: families who want balance between performance, privacy, and cost.

Privacy isn't a setting buried in a menu — it's the architecture. Here's exactly where your data goes, depending on the configuration you choose.
🔒 Phone-only · Jetson-only · Phone+Jetson Hybrid
All AI processing happens on your device — your phone or the onboard Jetson. No audio, video, or conversation data ever leaves your home without your explicit opt-in. You can own and use myBuddy with zero cloud dependency.
☁️ Phone+Server Hybrid · Jetson+Server Hybrid
Your device handles local sensing and real-time responses. Heavier reasoning and richer memory can be offloaded to myDay Cloud — but this is opt-in and can be disabled at any time. Core functionality remains available offline.
⚠️ Server-only (v1 & v2)
These tiers have no onboard AI processor. A myDay Cloud subscription is required for the robot to function. All AI processing runs on INFINY servers under our Privacy Policy. If maximum privacy is your priority, choose a different tier.
myDay Cloud is always opt-in — never mandatory — unless you choose a Server-only tier. We designed it this way deliberately.
