Designed for multigenerational households and care-oriented environments, myBuddy v2 monitors wellbeing, sends family alerts, and now lends a literal helping hand. It also supports an optional detachable robot-vacuum base module for autonomous floor cleaning.

myBuddy v2 is a taller cylindrical robot engineered for domestic and care environments. Every component — from its integrated sensor array to its robotic arms — is designed around safety, reliability, and ease of use in a real home.
Cylindrical Body & Navigation
Compact cylindrical chassis with autonomous mapping, obstacle avoidance, and person-following via ROS 2 + Nav2 — navigates freely through rooms without rearranging furniture.
Integrated Camera & Microphone Array
Built-in wide-angle cameras and far-field microphones — no phone required. Supports scene understanding, hazard detection, and hands-free voice interaction from across the room.
Robotic Arms with Grippers
Dual robotic arms equipped with grippers for physical tasks: fetching objects, retrieving dropped items, opening doors, and providing stability assistance. Vision-Language-Action (VLA) manipulation is in active R&D — see the roadmap section.
Optional Detachable Robot-Vacuum Base Module
Clip-on vacuum base module attaches to the undercarriage, adding autonomous floor cleaning to myBuddy v2's capabilities. Detach it when not needed; the robot operates fully without it.

Medication Reminders with Confirmation
myBuddy v2 reminds at the scheduled time, waits for a spoken "yes, I took it," and gently follows up if there's no response — with an optional summary sent to family.
Fall Detection & Immediate Alerts
If myBuddy detects a fall or an unusual, prolonged period of inactivity, it alerts a designated family member or caregiver immediately.
Activity Monitoring & Wellness Summaries
Family members can opt in to a daily digest — "Mom was up by 9am, had lunch, video-called her sister" — peace of mind without a raw camera feed.
Inactivity & Safety Checks
"myBuddy, grandma hasn't moved in a while — check on her." myBuddy navigates to the room, observes, and either reassures or triggers an alert.
Remote Camera Feed (Opt-In)
Families can request a live view — always opt-in and controlled by the person being cared for, never on by default. Privacy-first by design.

Vision-Language-Action (VLA) powered manipulation — the ability for myBuddy to plan and execute complex physical tasks through a combination of vision and language reasoning — is currently in active R&D and will ship with myBuddy v2. We are committed to transparency: the arm-assisted features listed here reflect our engineering roadmap, not a product available for purchase today.
